MINDSCAPE
Installation of wooden offcuts from 2018 -
The installation confronts a given space and changes the way in which the space is read, by creating a new reconfigured form of space. The found materials change in identity, form and shape to accommodate the space, adapting to its surroundings, becoming a reflection of the way in which we adapt ourselves to the spaces we are surrounded with. By using installation, the work itself is open to becoming and changing in form in relation to the given space it enters. I am purposefully aiming not to attach any pieces together in order for the structure to be accustomed to any space it is confronted with. Every instance in which the work is re-built it opens a new possible form of perception, at an attempt to reflect and understand the way in which time and given space is experienced - exploring space beyond its physical representation, rendering a new means of examining the changes within a space and our becomingness in relation.
